WOOSTER – James H. PeeWee WATSON, 82, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born January 20, 1927 in Amarillo, TX, son of James P. and Ada Richardson Watson.
He moved to Wooster in 1960 opening a new branch of the J.M. Huber Co. in the gas and oil division retiring in 1989 after 40 years. He had served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII.. He loved to travel and play golf.
Surviving are his wife, Colleen Oldacer Watson, whom he married November 6, 1953; a daughter, Kim D. Hershberger of Shreve and a son, Brad (Loretta) Watson of Wooster; 5 grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley Kovar) Hershberger of North Carolina, Amy (Eric) Hendricks of North Carolina, Seth (Ashley) Hershberger of Japan, Krystal (Justin) Sloan of Ashland, Cody (Hayley Akins) Watson of Wooster, one great-grandson, Owen Sloan. and a sister, Billie L Moore of Austin, TX.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. William Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
