James œJim  Taylor Laubach, 95, of Houston, TX, and formerly of Wooster died peacefully early morning on Saturday November 27, 2021.
He was born in Wooster on December 24, 1925 to Walter and Lavinia (Taylor) Laubach. Jim proudly served in the USMC during World War II from 1944 to 1946. Jim married the love of his life Harriet Jane Kauffman on June 12, 1948.   She preceded him in death on November 19, 2021.
Jim attended Ohio University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1951. He then went on to earn his Master of Science degree at Ohio State University in 1953. He studied Geology and directly went to work for Continental Oil Company (Conoco) where he worked for 40 years. He was an avid reader and loved reading about history. Jim also loved music of all kinds, from classical to jazz.  In his retirement he enjoyed gardening, hunting, skeet shooting and traveling with his wife and family.
Surviving are his daughters, Pam Silva of Houston, TX and Mrs. Stanley    (Jody) Tullos of Spring, TX; grandson Mr. Chris Tullos of The Woodlands, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife, Jim was preceded death by his parents, brother Walter œDoc  Laubach, sister Jane Hamilton and brother-in-law Bob Hamilton.
Funeral services for both Jim and Harriet will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Service
