WOOSTER – Janet L. DAUGHERTY, 82, of Wooster, died Friday, May 16, 2008 in Wayne Co. Care Center.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, 1 hour prior to the 7:00 P.M. service on Thursday, May 22, 2008 with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating.
Private family burial will be held.
Born February 2, 1926 in Holgate, OH, she was the daughter of Howard and Margaret Young Fritch.
She had worked at the Wooster Country Club for 35 years. Member of the Zion Lutheran Church where she had served on the worship and music committees and was a member of the Women of the Word Bible study.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond J. Daugherty, whom she married May 13, 1945; a Son, Michael (Donna) Daugherty of Wooster and a Daughter, Vikki (Michael) Wilson of Creston;
Grandchildren M. Scott (Leslie) Daugherty of Wooster, Matthew (Stephanie) Daugherty of Reynoldsburg, Casandra (Aaron) DeVanna of Delaware, Kelli Wilson of Creston, Michel (Kevin Cain) Wilson of Wooster and Janella Wilson of Creston; Great-Grandchildren Devin, Cameron and Erin Daugherty of Wooster, Spencer and Madeline Daugherty of Reynoldsburg, Christopher, Kirsten and Zachary Wilson of Creston, Harley DeVanna of Delaware and Izabell Cain of Wooster; a Sister, Rosemary Brubaker of Napoleon, OH.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua Wilson and a brother Howard.
