WOOSTER “ Janet L. Siegel, 88, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her home.
Janet was born December 20, 1933 in Medina the daughter of Matt and Albina Yanus Barsic.   She married Joseph Daniel Siegel on April 21, 1957.   He preceded her in death on June 25, 2018.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Sandy Supply in Wooster.   Janet was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   She enjoyed camping, pottery, bingo, bowling, playing Scrabble and shopping at thrift stores.
Janet is survived by her children Tina (Larry) Eggeman of Smithville and Jerry Siegel of West Salem; a daughter-in-law Penny Siegel of Wooster; grandchildren Matthew Alsip, Kristen Hines, Megan Crawford, Jared, David, Spencer, Tyler and Ashley Siegel and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; a sister Linda (Richard) Wass of Olmstead Falls.
In addition to her husband and parents, Janet was preceded by a son Michael Siegel and siblings Steve, Joe, Frank, John, Matt, Rosie, Anne, Mary and Helen.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard Samide officiating.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
