  1. Jan was such an amazing woman. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for them. However, her family was not just blood. She loved and cared for the skaters like her own. She would always give concise advice and was willing to stand up for what she believed in and supported the skaters through and through. She will be missed dearly.

  4. So many memories, junior high and high school. We always had so much fun without really doing anything! Lauren and Renee, she loved you more than life itself. I’ve seen about as many pictures of Lauren as I have my own grandkids. Lauren, you are so very lucky to have spent so much time with Grandma, the long talks you must have had driving back and forth to skating. If you ever just want to sit and talk about your Grandma from the “old” days just give me a call and we’ll get together.
    Love and hugs

  6. Renee and Lauren, our heart breaks for you because we spent years at the ice arena witnessing firsthand the love and devotion she had for the two of you. Lauren, she watched you skate with immeasurable pride! We will always appreciate her kindness and support of Emma’s skating over those years, as well. We also enjoyed her candor! 🙂 Her dedication to figure skating will never be forgotten! Jan/Grandma was a one-of-a-kind that will forever be part of our memories at ANIA! <3

  13. I was looking through old papers and just saw this very sad news. I used to live by your parents at Shelmar. They were the best neighbors you could have. I am so sorry for your loss. I look forward to the day that Rev. 21:4 speaks of when God will wipe out every tear from ours eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
