Jay Dee Schuch, 86, of Shreve died on Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home.
He was born on May 7, 1935 in Wayne County to Harry B. L. and Vida E. Mackey Schuch. He married Betty J. Miller on November 29, 1975. She survives.
Jay worked as a pressman at The Daily Record for over 46 years, was an auxiliary policeman and was a standard bred racehorse owner and trainer. He was a member of Ripley Church of Christ.
Along with his wife, Jay is survived by his son Jason B. (Erika) Schuch of Shreve; granddaughters Becca and Andrea Schuch; sisters Pearl McKinley of Wooster and Louise Everett of CA and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Walter, Harry Jr., and Julius; sisters Maxine King, Odella Cowling and Mary Swingle and an infant sister.
Per Jay s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. Private family burial will be held in Ripley Cemetery.
