WOOSTER – Jerry W WATKINS, 60, of Wooster passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 in his home.
He was born November 15, 1948 in Walnut Ridge, AR, son of Lidell and Thelma Blevins Watkins.
He had been a truck driver for Dowell Transport in Batesville, Arkansas. He was a member of the Corinth Missionary Baptist in Grange, Arkansas. Jerry liked arrow head hunting, sports, reading and loved playing Batgamin with his family and had raised game cocks in his younger days. He served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War..
Surviving are a son, Noah (Crystal) Watkins of Wooster; grandchildren Saje, Zach, and Jacob Watkins, Lewie Walters and Cody Adams; 10 brothers and 6 sisters.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
A Memorial Services will be held at the Valley College Grange on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. with Mr. Cliff Hill officiating. There will be no calling hours.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
