Jo Ann Troyer, 78, of Wooster died on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born July 18, 1943 in Cadiz to Victor and Martha Hicks Hite.   On June 3, 1960, she married Dean Troyer.   He survives.
Jo Ann was a member of the Dalton Church of Christ and she and Dean had been missionaries in Botswana Africa for 3 years.   She had been a bus driver for Ida Sue School for over 24 years.   Jo Ann enjoyed sewing, crocheting, canning, crafts and spending time with her family.   She had a very generous heart and was loved by all who knew her.
Along with her husband of over 61 years, Jo Ann is survived by her children Jeffrey (Cheryl) Troyer of Millersburg, Beth (late Raymond Jr.) Weaver of Wooster and Edward Troyer of Wooster; precious to them are their grandchildren Emery Weaver of Cincinnati, Raymond Weaver III of Columbus, David (Lisa) Weaver of Mineral City, Sheena (Robby) Roth of Strasburg, Tamra (Brent) Muller of Wooster, Danielle (David) Knapp of Wooster, Amy (Aaron) Hale of Galena and Jasmine (Ian) Summers of Blacklick.   The blessing of a growing family continue with 18 sweet great-grandchildren.
Jo Ann dearly loved her siblings; sisters Lucille (late Jessie) Slentz of Cambridge and Verna (late Flavil) Miller of Cambridge; brother Jim (Mary Lou) Hite of Alliance.   She was blessed to have close relationships with an abundance of nieces and nephews and their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Victor and David Hite and a sister Betty Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Oaks officiating.   Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

  14. JoAnn was such a lovely person. We worked together at Nick Amster Workshop. She was a bus driver. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She will be missed by many. Take comfort in knowing she is in Heaven. May she rest in peace.
