WOOSTER – John E JOLLIFF, 72, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in Aultman Hospital in Canton.
He was born May 30, 1937 in Wooster, the son of Glenn R and Helen V Eschliman Jolliff.
He retired from Kokosing Construction as a paver and roller operator. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and Wilbur Welty Post 147of the American Legion of Apple Creek. He served his country with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are wife, Nora Dulaney Jolliff whom he married March 2, 1963; daughters, Jeanie Jolliff of Columbus and Julie (Ed) Mathias of Highland Park, CO; a grandson, Shawn Kennedy of Wooster and a sister, Carol (Barney) Wachtel of Madison, MS.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eva Zemrock.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the E.R. staff at Wooster Community Hospital and the SICU staff at Aultman Hospital for their special care.
