John Henry Greene, 61, of Orrville died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice.
He was born November 4, 1955 in Warren to Woodford Perry and Irene Elizabeth Teller Greene.   He graduated from Fort Fry High School in 1974.   On December 15, 1984 he married Teri Tolson, who survives.
John worked for both Frito Lay and Rubbermaid.   He served his country in the Coast Guard.   He enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Ray Morris, cooking, photography, making walking sticks, gospel music, drawing and spending time with his grandchildren.   John was a Nazarene by faith.
Along with his wife, John is survived by his children John H (Sunceray) Greene V and Alisha Chalfant; grandchildren Xavier Brown and Elijah Chalfant; sisters Carol (Arthur) Rupe, Patricia (Michael) Metts; brother Daniel (Carlene) Greene; nieces Jacey Metts, Jordan (Levi) McCutcheon, Brittany Harra, Kayla and Lakin Tolson; nephew Michael Joseph (Ashley) Metts; father in law Frank VanNoy; sister in law Sheri (Eugene) Sampson and brothers in law Vince Tolson and Sam (Missy) Tolson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother in law Ruth VanNoy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 12:30 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville at 2:30 PM.  
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00AM until the time of service.
