WOOSTER John Ralph Airwyke, 76, of Wooster passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born March 19, 1941 in Wayne County the son of Henry and Marie Henry Airwyke.
He retired from Rubbermaid. John enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball, the Cleveland Indians and Brown and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his children, Matt Airwyke, John (Alicia Weeman) Smith and Kristi Sherman all of Wooster and Dave Smith of Dalton; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Marty Airwyke, and siblings, James H. Red Airwyke, Dorothy R. Wickens, Harry Eugene Airwyke and Raymond Airwyke and a half-brother Donald Henry.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Arnie Kaufman officiating.
