Joshua (Josh) Daniel Vizzo

Birth Date:
Thursday, February 9, 1984
Date of Passing:
Monday, September 28, 2020

Joshua (Josh) Daniel Vizzo died on Monday, September 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones after courageous battle with cancer.  He was 36 years old.

Josh was born on February 9, 1984 in Wooster, Ohio to Dan and Sherry (O’Neal) Vizzo.  He was a 2002 graduate of Triway High School.  He married the love of his life, Rachel Frambes on July 29th,2006 in Wooster, Ohio.  They had two sons that he loved more than anything.

Josh was a man of many talents, there was not a job that he could not handle. If he wanted to learn, there was nothing that could stop him.  Josh was highly self-motivated, and took pride in everything he did. He made a name for himself in the field of Environmental Drilling while working at Frontz Drilling.  After Frontz Drilling he worked for Smith Dairy in Orrville, Ohio and then took a job with the City of Wooster Maintenance Division to be able to have more time to be with his family.  He most recently worked with the Wayne County Engineer Highway Division.  He also did concrete work on the side, which was a job he took great pride in.

He lived in the Wooster area his entire life.

Josh was truly a special man who was loved and will be missed by many.  He found it easy to make friends wherever he went.  He was able to make lifelong friendships with people he met at school or work, or guys he played football with in elementary school or a guy he met a bar.  He never met a stranger and would make friends with all different types of people.  If Josh liked you, then you were a friend for life.  Josh had nicknames for a lot of his friends.  Most of his family never knew the actual name of some his friends, only the nicknames he had for them, and sometimes he had more than one nickname for the same friend.  His friends became part of his extended family.

He loved spending time with his sons Vincent and Zachary.  He was always there for them in anything they did.  He liked to make them breakfast and take them to RKO on Saturday mornings.    He enjoyed taking them hunting and fishing.  The three of them could be found doing any number of projects out in his shop.  He was so proud of them and loved them deeply.

Josh enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles.  He owned multiple Harley’s over the years, including the one he custom built.  He usually had at least one Harley in his garage and at least one he was thinking about getting.

He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns. Hunting and fishing were some of Josh’s favorite hobbies. He may have enjoyed telling his hunting stories even more than the actual hunting itself.  As time went on, his stories seemed to grow. His storytelling was not limited to just hunting, it covered pretty much every topic that he liked to talk about. His stories are part of what made people like Josh.

Josh was a very talented man who took a lot of pride in his house.  He finished his basement, built a workshop in his backyard, put an addition on his house, renovated his kitchen, put on a new roof, and replaced all the windows in his house.  These jobs were usually completed by the help of friends.

Josh met his wife Rachel when they were teenagers and have been together ever since.  Josh was wonderful to his wife and set an excellent example to his sons of how to treat your spouse.  Rachel was by his side every step of the way during his battle with cancer.

The family would like to thank friends, and the entire Wooster community for the outpouring of support they received during this very difficult time.  They would also like to thank The Cleveland Clinic and Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for the exceptional care and support that they provided to Josh.

In addition to his wife, Rachel and sons Vincent and Zachary, Josh is survived by his parents of Wooster; a sister Kaley (Jesse) Ebert of Wooster; his Father and Mother-in-law Dave (Sherry) Frambes of Wooster and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss of Josh. We can’t imagine what you all are going through right now. But you should be proud of the son you raised! He is a shining example of what every parent wants in their child. He was great in all of his roles. Son, Brother, husband, son-in-law, father just to name a few.
