WOOSTER “ June Marie Hott, 79, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a brief illness.
She was born March 22, 1937 in Wooster, the daughter of William and Marie Eckstein Mathie.   She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ervie Kunkler and David Hott.
She had owned and operated group homes and was the co-founder of the Wayne Co. Humane Society.
June enjoyed music, was a passionate reader, enjoyed traveling with her family and painting and crafting and collected wildlife and southwestern art.
She is survived by her children, Gregg (Debbie) Kunkler of Wooster and Amy (Jeryl) Dowell of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren Geoff (Lauren) Kunkler and Eric (Jessica) Dowell and great-grandchildren, Allison and Eisley Dowell.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wayne Co. Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
