CANTON – Junior JACKSON, 79, of Canton, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 in his home. Junior Jackson was a principled, caring man and father who created and maintained a wonderful life. We were blessed to have shared an abundance of his 79 years with him.
He was born January 2, 1931 in Grenada, Mississippi to Scott and Edith (Robinson) Jackson. He was the central figure and patriarch in his family and church. He was a beacon of light and source of inspiration that encouraged his family to come north to Ohio to start a new and exciting life. He started the Jackson Family Reunion in the early 60’s.
He pursued education by attending the Adult and Basic Education program constantly absorbing knowledge through reading and studying, to pass it on to others to better enhance their lives too. He was an independent trucker who created , owned and operated J & J Trucking Co., from 1983-1993 until his retirement. He loved to travel, the outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was proud of all of his children and grandchildren. Especially that they had graduated or were attending school and or college. Encouraging them to not only start strong but to finish strong.
He was a long-time member and Trustee of the Second Baptist Church in Wooster, Ohio where he enjoyed helping the church and community. He worked until he relocated to Canton, Ohio where he became a long time member of Antioch Baptish Church.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters and sons, Martha (Ronald) Jackson- Hill of Wooster, Emily (William) Jackson- Johnson of Canton, Joseph Jr. Jackson of Canton, Chris (Kim) Ball of Orrville and Ra-Akhu Ensehusih (f.k.a.
