WOOSTER – Kathryn I. Ewing (82) of Wooster died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born in Wooster, June 10, 1935 to Ward A. and Edith (Jennings) Fritz and graduatedfrom Wooster High School. On April 11, 1954 she married Terry Ewing.
Katie, a homemaker, was also employed by Wooster Brush, The William Annat Co., The WayneCounty Treasurer’s Office, and Welcome Wagon. She was a member of Wooster United MethodistChurch, Floralynn Garden Club, and the AP chapter of PEO.  An avid golfer and gardener, Katieenjoyed rug hooking, floral arranging, sewing, and travel with friends. While wintering in Arizona, shehoned her skills in painting and other art forms.
Along with her husband, Terry, she is survived by her children Kathy (Craig) Smith ofBeavercreek, Ohio, Dan Ewing of Wooster, Cindi (Mike) Lang of Cornelius, North Carolina;grandchildren Katie (Erik) Horvath, Matthew Smith, and Taylor Lang; great grandchild HannahHorvath, and brother Carl Fritz of Pittsfield, MA. Katie was preceded in death by her parents and abrother, Martin Fritz.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Nov. 11, 2017 at Wooster United Methodist Church,243 N. Market St. followed by burial at Wooster Cemetery. Rev. Charles Tobias will officiate.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham, & Sleek Funeral Home,216 E Larwill St.
