Date of Passing:

Kenneth Glen Harr, 68, of Wooster lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

He was born to Roy and Olive Harr on August 27, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio.  On August 13, 2004, he married his best friend Janalynn Miller in Gatlinburg, TN.

Ken retired in March from a job he truly loved, construction.  He was employed by W.B. Services in Winesburg.  He had built hotels and restaurants all over the U.S. with the exception of the Western states.  He was a common sense mentor to many young superintendents.  They went through Ken’s “Boot Camp” whether they wanted to or not.

Ken had earned his pilot’s license in 2009.  He loved to fly and often took Jan with him.  He had to remind her many times “you fly a plane, you don’t drive it.”  He loved woodworking, fishing and was a member of the N.R.A.

He is survived by his wife, Janalynn, children Michael (Jeannette) Harr of Utica, Jason Harr of Newark and Herbie (Aimee) Miller of Dayton; grandchildren Devin Harr of Groveport, Samantha Harr of Homer, Rachel, Megan and Zachary Harr all of Newark and Sophia, Sidney and Savannah Miller all of Dayton; sister-in-law Judy Delaney (Robert) Talcott of Wooster and nephews Grant (Becca) Delaney of Pittsburgh, PA and Reid (fiancée Elizabeth Timas) Delaney of Wooster along with his dirty dog Dutch and his cat Ruthie.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his second mother Catherine A. Martin.

Private family services will be performed by the Rev. Dr. Herbie Miller at the convenience of the family.
