Korey J. Florence, 48, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his home.
He was born January 26, 1973 in Wooster, the son of David Dennis and Sally Gilyard Earley.
Korey was a 1991 graduate of Wooster High School. He worked for Robin Industries. Korey was an avid sports fan, but especially a fan of the Buffalo Bills, and he enjoyed singing in the church choir. Korey truly loved his family and the community of Wooster.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his children Alex Evans of North Pole, Alaska, Ra’Desha Stoudmire, Natasha Florence, Ra’Tawan Stoudmire, and Alexis Florence, all of Orrville; siblings Paulette Perkins of Akron, Lindsay Florence of Mayfield, and Gail Florence of Cleveland; half-siblings Daveta, Tondra, and Kim; his partner Tawaina Stoudmire; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Korey was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Immediately following calling hours, a funeral service will be held with Reverend Rickey Brown officiating.
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
