WOOSTER “ Larry Lee Steen, 84, of Wooster passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 25, 1933 in Wooster, the son of Walter and Loretta Howell Steen.   He married Peggy Hutchison on March 16, 1956.   She preceded him in death on November 12, 2017.
Larry retired in 1993 from Bosch Rexroth Corp. after 36-1/2 years as a supervisor/foreman.   He was a member of the First Church of God, American Legion Post 68 and the Triway Booster Club.   Larry enjoyed sporting events, football, wrestling, basketball and track and he liked to play pool and euchre.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War from 1952-1955.
Surviving are his children, Barry (Deb) Steen, Becky (Dave) Wagner, Jill (Jim) Dilgard and Jodie Steen all of Wooster and Jason (Ariann) Steen of Burbank; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Steen and Leota Hutchison and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, his parents and a grandson, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter, William, Homer and Art Steen, Betty Olesko, Nora Long, Hazel Fraze and Stella McGrady.
Public graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wooster Cemetery with Buddy Bevington officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
