WOOSTER “ Laura Nirode, 98, of Wooster, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021.
She was born January 26, 1923 in Holmes County, the daughter of Levi and Martha Weaver. She was married to her beloved Del for 71 years before his passing in 2012.
Laura and Del owned Nirode Plumbing for 22 years until 1977. She also worked as a realtor for several years before retiring. Laura loved to travel across the country with her Airstream group, attending several rallies and hosting rallies for them at her home. She enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and being with family and friends. Laura was known for her kind and compassionate spirit. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.
Laura is survived by her two sons, Bernard (Marion) Nirode and Del W. (Hazel) Nirode; 7 grandchildren, Daryl (Jackie) Nirode, Damon (Brooke) Nirode, Joy Nirode, Adam (Annette) Nirode, Vanessa Nirode, Will (Melissa) Nirode and Wayne (Kristin) Nirode, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Friends will be received Friday, July 30 from 6-8 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Services will be Saturday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, 6060 Newkirk Rd., Shreve with the Revs. Michael Law and Randy Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family asks that everyone please wear a mask while indoors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wayne County Community Foundation for the Del and Laura Nirode Memorial Fund, 517 North Market Street, Wooster, OH 44691 to support Fairview United Methodist Church.

Service
