SANDUSKY Laverne S. Redett, 96, of Sandusky and formerly of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Providence Care Center in Sandusky.
She was born October 9, 1920 in Orrville, the daughter of Alvin J. and Mary Ramseyer Schrock. She married Richard J. Dick Redett on January 1, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2015.
She was a homemaker and had been an accountant for the Wayne Co. Farm Bureau. Laverne was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church, the West Ohio Conference of United Methodist Women and the A.Y. Chapter of P.E.O. She had spent 20 years in retirement in Mission, Texas and had lived in Greenville, Pitsburg, Lakeside, and Sandusky Ohio.
She is survived by her children, Craig S. (Kathy) Redett of Sarasota, Florida, Christine (Chuck Belna) Redett of Sandusky and Jeffrey S. Redett of St. Petersburg, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dean Schrock of Orrville and Darrell Cy Schrock of Wooster.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard J. Redett and siblings, Donald E. Schrock, Lillian Winkler, Mary Louise Berkey and Dale Schrock.
Private Graveside services will be held in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
