WOOSTER “ Lawrence Leslie Drager, 91, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his home.
He was born June 12, 1929 in Sherburn, Minnesota the son of Leslie K and Esther Hoelmer Drager.   He married Patricia Bird on December 6, 1959.   She survives.
He retired as a quality inspector from Liquid Carbonic Inc. in Smithville.   He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he served as a head usher.   He was a life member of the VFW and had been active in the Isaac Walton League.   Larry always enjoyed staying busy and helping others.
Larry proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1950 “ 1952.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Patricia, is a son Daniel Leslie (Deborah) Drager of Wooster and grandchildren Maxwell, Lucas and Leslie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Daril and Edward Drager.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster with Rev. Shari Ayers officiating.   Inurnment will follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.

  1. He was an intelligent and a man that always wanted you to laugh which we need more of both in this world . He will never be forgotten. To all of us that knew him and the family ,sorry for the LOSS.

  4. Words cannot express the friendship, dedication and work he would put into all of our neighborhood, Tough on the outside, soft inside. He took care of all of us. For over 25 years he was such a presence in my life. Always teaching me, always helping me. He became one of my dearest friends. I will miss him . We will all miss him. Godspeed Larry! Hugs and prayers for Pat, Dan and all of the family. ❤️

He was always moving forward while keeping the past alive with a myriad of stories and rememberances which I treasure.
