WOOSTER – Leora M. BUTTERBAUGH, 95, of Wooster, lovingly known as Grandma B.B., passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in the Wayne Co. Care Center.
She was born April 24, 1915 in Alliance the daughter of Elgie and Minnie Blair Phillips. She married Charles F. Butterbaugh June 15, 1935. He died August 16, 1994.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a deep love for her God and his creations. Leora was a homemaker never working outside the home. She enjoyed her family and was always concerned for their well being. She and her husband Bossy were avid mushroom hunters.
Surviving are her children, Faye (Jack) Harter of Apple Creek, Diane Stonecipher of Wooster and Charles (Loraine) Butterbaugh of Wooster, grandchildren, Jackie Krajcik, David Cruise, Lori and Carla Stonecipher; great-grandchildren, Annaliese Butterbaugh, Daniel, Tyler and Kaitlin Krajcik, Angel Procter, Jessi Plebman, Kaitlin and Nicholas Cruise, Cassandra and Brittany Dickerson, Sebastian Jackson and Johnna and Savanna Hutton. great-great-grandchildren. Lily Leora Butterbaugh, Triston Brown, Ashton Boggs and 3 great-great grandchildren in Oklahoma.
Leora was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren John Stonecipher and Pamela Butterbaugh Brown.
A private family service will be held.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
