WOOSTER “ Lilyan E. Johns, 94, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
Lilyan was born on November 8, 1921 in Alliance the daughter of Albert and Emma Spell Shultz.   She married Robert Johns on May 6, 1941.   He preceded her in death on September 11, 2006.
Lilyan graduated from Alliance City High School and Alliance Business College.   She worked at McCaskey Register Company in Alliance and while her husband attended the College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University, she worked in the Stores and Receiving Department at The Ohio State University.
Lilyan enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and traveling with the family ™s hobby of race horses.   In her early years, she was a charter member of the Wooster Community Hospital Women ™s Auxiliary and a charter member of the Trowel and Trellis Garden Club.   Lilyan was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #270 and the Wooster United Methodist Church.   She enjoyed sewing with the Lappers of the Church.
She is survived by her children, Claudia (John) Mazurkiewicz of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Robin (Bruce) Edwards of Davie, Fla., Robert (Darlene) Johns, Jr. of Wooster and Kelly (Gregg) Gillespie of Norton; her grandchildren, Megan (Nathan) Hicks, Chad (Sheryl) Sixt, Christopher (Alison) Mazurkiewicz, McKinley Edwards, Christina Johns, Carolyn Johns, Jenny Johns and Joshua Gillespie; her five great-grandchildren and her sisters, Thelma Greiner (100) and Kathryn Plajer (98) both of Sebring.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and an infant sister.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster and 1 hour prior to the service.   An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev ™s Eric Fairhurst, Kirk Fairhurst and Charles Tobias officiating.   Private family burial will be held.

Monday, September 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home

Visitation
Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the service.   An Eastern Star Memorial service will be held at 5:45 p.m.
