Lloyd W. James, 74, of Wooster died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital after a private one year battle with bone cancer.
He was born January 11, 1947 in Millersburg to F. Wayne and Ethel B. Kendall James.   Lloyd was a 1965 graduate of Waynedale High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 at Fort Carson, CO with the Military Police.
Lloyd had been a lifetime farmer and spent his entire life on the family farm.   He enjoyed reading, especially history and books about the Civil War.   He was mechanically inclined, repairing machinery and remodeling his home.
Lloyd is survived by his sister Carol (Don) Mong of Wooster; a niece Cindy Mong; nephew Jeff Mong; several cousins and special friends Clyde and Jean Opliger.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time.   He will be buried in Prairie Township Cemetery with his parents.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, is assisting the family.

  1. I graduated with Lloyd and lived right down the road from him for a few years. He was always a quiet person but always friendly. Prayers for Peace and comfort for Bonnie and the rest of the family.

  2. Lloyd was a big part of us getting our start after getting married for our family. Lloyd was very private but enjoyed our talks. He will be missed.

  3. I really enjoyed my chats with Lloyd. As a little girl I would admire him working the fields. I loved watching him operate equipment and his visits to Leppo! Prayers to the family!

  4. So sorry to hear about Lloyd Carol. It was a shock when Dick called me. I always thought every time I saw him, how much he looked like your dad. Wayne wasn’t as quiet as Lloyd though.
