WOOSTER – Louis E. Still, 88, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Danbury Woods in Wooster.
He was born February 12, 1930 in Burbank, the son of Carl Sr. and Ruth Collins Still.   He married Norma Messmore on May 2, 1972.   She preceded him in death on July 12, 2014.
Louis attended Burbank High School and started Still Grading and Trucking in the mid 1950’s and retired at the young age of 79.   He also sub-contracted with Jones Construction for 37 years.   His career was his work…his hobby…HIS LOVE.   The only other love was his family who always came first.   Louis was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Millersburg, was a life-time member of the Wayne County Saddle Club.   He liked to play cards and be with friends and family.   He loved going to fairs and he had an antique Farmall M 1951 tractor which he showed at the Wayne Co. Fair. Louis was a people person who was always doing something to help others, he was a true humanitarian.   He had spent the last 20 years wintering at their home in Brooksville, Florida and made many new friends.
Surviving are his children, Gary L. (Janey) Still of Wooster, Greg L Still of Creston, Laurie G. Hall of Wooster, Gail L. Still of Columbus; step-children, Denise A. (Bill) Weinbroer of West Salem, Keith A Gonser of Wooster, Jeff M. (Lori) Gonser of West Salem,   Steve W. (Becky) Gonser of Spring Hill, Florida, Brenda G. (Jim) Harter of Fredericksburg, Alvin W. (Wendy) Weirick of Wooster;   many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles  Still of Orrville and his ex-wife, Janis Nickle Imhoff.
In addition to his wife, Norma, he was preceded in death by his parents, brothers  Paul  (infant twin to Pauline), Carl Jr., Donald and Marvin and sisters Olive Pender, Eleanore Richards, Pauline Croskey and Margaret Preamer.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4-7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Pat Weaver officiating.   Private burial will be held.
