ASHLAND – Lura I. ANDERSON, 94, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 in her home.
She was born November 8, 1915 in Holmes County, the daughter of Frank and Edith MillerWachtel.
She was a homemaker and had been a waitress at Hanson’s Restaurant, Barney’s Diner, Nadeline’s Restaurant and had at Lawson’s. Lura was a member of West Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children Don Carter of Apple Creek, Sandra (Alva) Burgett of Ashland, and Marilyn Crawford of Apple Creek, 16 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Lura was preceded in death by parents, son and daughter-in-law Chet and Dorothy Carter, son-in-law, Wayne Crawfprd.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 P.M.
Services will be held at West Hill Baptist Church, January 14, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dan Wingate officiating.
