Wooster “ Lynn œZeke  Zimmerman, age 81 of Wooster passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday February 4, 2019 after an extended illness.  
Zeke was born on March 4, 1937 to the late Bruce and Carmen Zimmerman of Wooster.  He married Ginny (Menne) Zimmerman on August 18, 1962; she survives along with three sons; Matt (April) of Arkansas, Mitch (Stephanie) of North Carolina, and Monti (Cindy) of Medina.   His grandchildren are: Quade and Keegan of North Carolina and Gabriel, Elijah and Lily of Medina.  
He is a U.S. Army veteran spending time overseas, including Okinawa.  
Upon his return from service, Zeke received his Undergraduate degree from Ashland College and a Graduate degree from the University of Akron.  
Zeke spent his entire professional career in education.   He served in many roles during his tenure, including: teacher, school counselor, principal and superintendent.
He was an avid reader, historian and lifelong learner.   He held a special interest in the civil war and enjoyed various subjects including: biographies, politics, travel, world religions and cultures.   Zeke loved to engage people in conversation and reminiscing with friends and family.   He enjoyed spending time with his family and was ready to share a story and libation with friends and strangers alike.  
Family and friends will be received Sunday February 10, 2019 from 1:30 “ 3:00PM at First Presbyterian Church, 621 College Ave. Wooster, OH 44691.   A memorial service at the church will be held immediately following with light refreshments.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
