WOOSTER – The morning of October 27, 2017, Wooster lost one of its true leading ladies when Margery N Hoge went home to be with the Lord.
Marge was born March 1, 1925 to the late Claud and Hazel Neiswander. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Lawrence A. Hoge, as well as her brother Arlyn (Mary Jane) Neiswander.
Marge and Larry were married August 31, 1945 and had three children: Barbara Sample Gerstung, James (Claire) Hoge and John (Rebecca) Hoge. Their grandchildren: James Sample, Sara (James) Jones, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Stangelo, Michael (Arica) Hoge and great-grandchildren: Jacob, Paxton, Liam, Sawyer, Asher and Delaney.
As a lifelong resident of Wooster, Marge truly loved her community. She was an active member of the Women ™s auxiliary board and volunteer at Wooster Community Hospital for over 40 years, member of the PEO and bridge club. Marge also attended the College of Wooster where she and her husband Larry have a scholarship in their name.
Marge loved life and her family. She will be greatly missed and her values of a strong work ethic, proper etiquette, positive attitude, joyful personality, and her love for cooking will live on forever in all the members of her family. We will never forget her infamous meatloaf and her graham cracker pie.  
Marge was a faithful member of the Wooster United Methodist Church for more than 80 years.The Hoge family would like to extend a gracious thank you to the amazing staff at Danbury Woods of Wooster for the last several years of care, as well as LifeCare Hospice for their recent loving care.
Services will be held Friday November 3, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Wooster United Methodist Church, with pastor Bill Sowers officiating. Private burial will be in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday November 2, 2017 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek located at 216 E. Larwill Street in Wooster.
Donations may be made in Marge ™s memory to LifeCare Hospice 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 and/or the Alzheimer ™s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
