Marion Leo Miller, 83, of Shreve went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, on Friday, August 31, 2018 at his home.
He was born January 25, 1935 in Wayne County, the son of Leo and Erma Wharton Miller. He married Janet E. Mairs on September 10, 1955. She survives.
Marion had worked at the Wooster Equity for 43 years as a custom applicator, and had also owned his own oil field service business.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Loudonville American Legion. Marion was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Wooster, where he was a volunteer for the jail ministry program.
Marion enjoyed playing cards and going gambling with his wife. He was also a former member of the Gnat Boxers Square Dancers.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Leo (Sue) Miller of Wooster, Sherrie (Anthony) Rippy of Tennessee, Michael Miller of Wooster, Diane (Kyle) Conner of Shreve, Greg Tiger (Pam) Miller of Wooster, Brad (Kathy) Miller of Wooster, Jeff (Michele) Miller of Wooster, and Tim (Dora) Miller of Wooster; 18 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; sisters Judy Mowrer of Wooster, Jean Phillips of Wooster, and Lois Amicarelli of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 6-8:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
