APPLE CREEK – Marjorie Constance ?Connie? Shultzman 89, of Apple Creek, died Sunday morning Oct 9, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan.19, 1922 in Maysville to Clayton Stephen and Lucy Pailliotet Marthey. She married Richard Garth Shultzman June 27, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1990.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday Oct. 14 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Stephen P. Moran as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 P.M. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

Following Graduation from Smithville High School , Connie worked for the former United Telephone Co., H. Freedlander Co., Buckeye Aluminum and Howard Johnson?s Restaurant and retired after 32 yrs. at The College of Wooster/Wooster Inn. in 2000. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, Starlight Club and American Legion Aux. in Apple Creek.
Richard and Connie were each one of eleven children and had eleven children together: Terry & Bonnie Shultzman of Wooster, Julia Weiss of Wilmington, N.C. . Jeannette & Ron Rudolph of Wooster, R. Steven & Claire Shultzman of Witchita, Ks., Kay & Mark Cunningham of Apple Creek, Ken & Laura Shultzman of Wasilla, Alaska, David & Susan Shultzman of Apple Creek, Cindy & Steve Byler of Holmesville, Karla & Tony Brady of Riverton, Ut; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, and 9 step-great-grandchildren; siblings :Mary Kinney of Columbus, Hilary (Geraldine) Marthey of Orrville, Geneva Cairnie of Orrville, Dolores Marthey of Orrville, Margaret (Robert) Eby of Independence and Thomas (Jill) Marthey of Orrville; sisters-in-law Jan Marthey of Apple Creek and Verna Marthey of Smithville; numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded by sons John l., and Michael, and a son-in-law Frank Weiss, a granddaughter Kendra Shultzman , and siblings: Agnes Seib, Jeannette Meier, Donald and Richard Marthey.
