Mary Christine MUNSHOWER loving mother, grandmother and family liaison, 89, of Wooster, died Saturday May 1, 2010 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born December 24, 1920 in New Bethlehem, PA, daughter of the late Ira Clyde and Josephine Maybelle (Wilkins) Diven.
Mary married Lloyd Munshower on March 18, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2004.
She worked for Rexroth retiring in 1983 and had also worked at Freedlander’s and at Frito-Lay.
Mary was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Rebekah Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and Dorcus Circle. .
She is survived her daughters Karen (Bill) Kick of Mansfield, Lynette J. (Daniel) Reece of Knoxville, TN and Nila Jo (Jeffrey) Eklund of New Philadelphia; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren and a brother, Harry Page Diven of CA.
Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister Martha Jasper and brothers Howard and Fred Diven
Services will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 150 E. North St. Wednesday May 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kevan Franklin and Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster on Tuesday from 6-8 PM
