Mary L. Posey, 92, of Apple Creek, died on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1929 in Wilsonburg, WV to Frances and Minnie Grace Morrison Simons.
Mary had worked for PCA in Rittman for many years and then ran a daycare in her home prior to her retirement.   She was a life member of the Apple Creek American Legion and enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and watching the Indians, Cavs and Browns.
She is survived by her children Helen Selders of Colorado Springs, CO, Donnie (Robin) Posey of NH and Carolyn (Ken) Burns of Wooster; grandchildren Nichole (Larry) Dotson, whom she made her home with along with their children Hannah and Steele; Corey Posey, Cheryl Ducharme, Jess (Paskal) Akers, Cricket Posey, Tony Burns, Matthew Baron and Christopher Baron; 20 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Art Posey of Wooster.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Selvia Baron; grandchildren Tonya and Tracy Braden; great-grandson Graham Akers; sisters Helen Hoover, Darlean Wolverton, Sylvia Simons; brother Raymond Simons and her former husband, Leslie Posey in February.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in Apple Creek Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  4. Aunt Mary, Your love and caring soul will be missed by all your loved ones. My heart is broken because I love you so very much, but God has left me with comfort in knowing you accepted his love and forgiveness 21 years ago. I will see you again in the place you now reside. I will try to remember you only changed your address until we are together again. My dear cousins, take comfort in knowing the above and that your Mom is seeing more beauty than we can ever imagine. I love you all.
    God loves you and will give you comfort.
