Mary R YANKELLO, 88, of Wooster, OH, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 in Akron General Medical Center in Akron.
She was born June 19, 1920 in Holmes County, the daughter of Theodore and Lelah Lemmon Bishop.
Mary was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are her children Janice (Neal) Meier, Patricia Gray, Kathleen Middleton, Charles (Linda) Yankello, Rebecca (Roy) Mann, John Yankello Jr., Bernice (Steve) Rose, and Steven (Carrie) Yankello, 26 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren ; sisters, Mid Turner, LaVonne Bunny Lorson and brothers, Nathan Bud and David Bishop all of Orrville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangments.
Per Mary’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Yankello, Sr., on February 1, 2000 whom she married January 4, 1937.
