WOOSTER – Mary Rose Yacapraro Fockler, 93, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at her home.
She was born April 10, 1927 in Wooster, the daughter of Antonio and Costoda Battista Yacapraro. She married Alva Earl Fockler on April 24, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1996.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed working puzzles, reading and taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children Thomas Fockler who was her caregiver for many years. Thanks, Tom, for all you gave up to care for mom, Kathleen (Allen) Wright and Debra (Dave) Snyder all of Wooster; grandchildren Brian Eshelman, Kim Jarvis and Earl Fockler Jr all of Wooster, Rebekah Miller of Greenville, SC, Benjamin Snyder of Edgewater, MD, Renée Fockler of Portland, OR and Jennifer Fockler of Ashland; 10 great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Pamela Fockler of Pickerington.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son Alva “Earl” Fockler Jr. on May 5, 2020 and by 10 brothers and 3 sisters.
There will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
