APPLE CREEK – Mildred Marguerite FISHER, 95 of Apple Creek, died Friday, December 14, 2007 in Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to services at the church.
Services will be held at the Apple Creek United Methodist, Tuesday ,11:00 A.M. Rev. Jim Cooper Officiating. Interment will follow in Apple Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society 525 N. Broad St. Canfield, Oh., 44406 or to the American Heart Association Great Rivers Affiliate P.O.Box 163549 Columbus, Ohio 43216-3549 ion her memory.
Born February 2, 1912 in Garrettsville, OH, she was the daughter of Charles and Maria Fellow Meier.
She had worked for the former Toy Craft Co., Carson Pharmacy in Apple Creek and Keener Variety Store in Apple Creek. Member of the Apple Creek United Methodist Church and the Starlight Circle. Member of the Apple Creek American Legion Auxiliary, was a 4-H advisor for 35 years, on the civic improvement Board for Johnny Appleseed Day, Member of the Philomethian Club, the Rebekah Sr. Citizens, A.A.R.P., East Union Grange and was a former member of the Apple Creek Gardenettas Club. Moved from Garrettsville to Spruce Creek, PA in a covered wagon which took 13 days..
Surviving are Daughter, Carol June Scott of Grove City, Oh and son-in-law Buddy Lebold of Apple Creek. and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great=great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1976, daughters Ruth Lowe, Pearl Elizabeth Fisher, Linda Lee Fisher, and Kathleen Ann Lebold, sisters Lillian, Eva, and Mabel Meier, and brothers John, Cecil, Albert, Glenn, and Woodrow. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, Oh. is assisting the family with arrangments.
