WOOSTER ? Morene May Wimer, 81, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ her personal Savior on February 3, 2010.
She was born in Braxton County, West Virginia, on March 17, 1928, to the late George Everett and Dallie Elizabeth (Moyer) Hawkins and married Richard Lawrence Wimer on October 9, 1954.
She attended Toccoa Falls College in Georgia and was a long time employee of Hawkins Market and Cafeteria in Wooster and a faithful member of West Hill Baptist Church. May enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an avid quilter.
She is survived by children, Gary (Renee) Wimer of Wooster, Bob (Beth) Wimer of Apple Creek, Darlene (Jeff) Hinton of New Pittsburg, Judy (Jim) Bates of Wooster; grandchildren, Heather (Brandon) Clark, Lisa Landers, Mark Wimer, Jeremy Wimer, Stacy (Jerad) Buck, Matt Landers, Nicole (Tim) Mcafoos, Ashley Hinton, Todd Hinton; 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Earl (Betty) Hawkins and Ray Hawkins; twin sister, Pauline Gay Moutoux, sister Dell Pfalzgraf, and sister-in-law Jean Hawkins.
She was preceded in death by Richard Wimer, and son John David Wimer, brothers Guy Hawkins and Clen Hawkins.
Services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Calling hours will be Friday from 7-9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
