WOOSTER – Nancy Lue Piper Amos, age 78 of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday,October 29,2016, after a courageous ten-month battle with illness.
Nancy was born on March 27, 1938, to Clarence and Orpha Piper in Wooster. She graduated in1956 from Wooster High School and was a life-long resident of Wayne County.
Anyone who knew Nancy knows that she was truly and completely devoted to her family, and her familywas an immense source of joy in life. She particularly found enjoyment in watching her granddaughtersparticipate in various sports over many years. More recently, she adored spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Nancy possessed a keen business sense which carried over into her adult life after learning accountingas a teenager and helping her father with his business, Piper’s Garage. After a few various jobs, she thenfound her niche and worked for nearly 40 years in the real estate business where she was well-respected and well-known in the industry for her knowledge, professionalism, and her warm smile. Shebegan her real estate career in 1977 with Silver Realty in Wooster and continued for many decadesbefore eventually completing her career in October 2015 when she retired from Howard Hanna ofWooster.
Aside from her family and her career, Nancy found an immense amount of pleasure in watching LeBronJames and the Cleveland Cavaliers. She was an avid fan, and the Cavaliers recent championship seasonbrought her tremendous happiness during an otherwise tough year.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Edward and Lula Piper and William andNancy Combs. Nancy is survived by her daughter Kelley (Joseph) Rice, granddaughters Kristen (Jon)Hudson, Kameron (Nick) Swank, and Jenessa (Ben) Mangun; great-grandchildren Brayden Swank, JensenSwank, and Halli Hudson, sister Janet Hamilton, niece Renee (Gary) Gwinn, great-niece Lauren Gwinn, and a dear friend Marlene Miller.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5-8:00 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham, and Sleek, 216 E.Larwill St., Wooster or 1 hour prior to the time of the service at the church.
The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Tina Heise at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 9451 Ashland Rd, Wooster on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pittsburg Cemetery.

Nancy will be greatly missed by her daughter, family, and many friends.
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again!
