WOOSTER “ Nancy C. Schafrath, 85 of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 8, 1934 in Barberton, the daughter of Willis J. and Elma Esselburn Butzer.   She married William T. Schafrath on August 27, 1955.
Nancy was the First Vice President and Branch Manager of Wayne Savings Community Bank for 35 years.   She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters, Friendtique, Quota Club, Friends and Neighbors of Every Women ™s House, Loyal Order of Moose #135 and a volunteer for People to People Ministries.   Nancy and William spent winters in Florida.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, William, who passed away less than 5 hours before her, her parents and sisters Barbara Rhen Chelefont and Willa Mae Foltz Anderson.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Samide as celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Father Beiting ™s   Applachian Mission Center, 524 South Highway 3, Louisa, KY 41230.
