Norma Marie Cline, 88, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born May 15, 1934 in Wooster to Dwight and Velma Mowrer Ballagh.  On November 24, 1955, she married Robert M. Cline.  He survives.

Norma was a household engineer.  She was a member of the Borderline Line Dancers and of West Hill Baptist Church.  She loved to attend her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.  Along with Robert, she enjoyed taking bus trips and had traveled to all 50 states.

Along with her husband, Norma is survived by her children Steve Cline of Akron, Sheryl (Jim) Smith of Wooster, Sid (Cheryl) Cline of Wooster and Stan Cline of Orrville; son-in-law Mark Ellison of Wooster; grandchildren Jason (Megan McCabe) Smith, Carissa (Josh) Timko, Chad (Eloise Quintanilla) Ellison, Morgan (Adam) Stein, Jaime Banach and Janell (Jake) Mottayaw and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Sue Ellison.

Private family services will be held.  Interment will be in Prairie Twp. Cemetery in Holmesville.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  12. I am so sorry to hear of Norma’s passing. She was so loved and was so good to everyone who knew her. I remember as a teenager stopping in and just sitting and visiting with Bob and Norma. They always made me feel welcome and Norma’s laughter was like Christmas. Blessings and comfort to you all.

  18. We were sorry to hear of Norma’s passing. Spence remembers her being stern but loving when he came to collect for the paper. She always greeted us with a big smile and wondered how we were doing. Praying for the family and Bob in coming days.

We have fond memories of her story telling, eating M&Ms and how she would elbow Bob when he would hit the wrong note or start a little too early.
