Opal Fae Flener, 91, of Wooster died on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at her home.
She was born September 28, 1930 in Wooster to Carl and Effie Weidman Weiser.   In 1951, she married Noble R. Flener.   He preceded her in death in 2002.
Opal had been a homemaker and a member of East Union Lutheran Church.   She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and sewing.   Her church family was a big part of her life.
She is survived by her son, Craig Flener of Wooster and granddaughter Christy (Anand) Kapur.
Along with her husband, Opal was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Sharon and a sister Pearl Young.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

Sorry for the loss of your mother my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.I used to live across the road in the double duplex on McQuaid road and my two daughters Kathryn and Bethany would walk over and see your parents.They would say they were going over to grandma and grandpa Flener’s.
