Wooster “ Patricia Ruth Horst, 89, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born March 17, 1927 in Wayne County, the daughter of Arden F. and Joyce Fisher Albright.   She married Robert Vernon Horst on May 25, 1946.   He preceded her in death on February 25, 2016.
She and Bob joined her father in the operation of the Albright Welding and Radiator Shop in 1949.   Patricia was a faithful and generous member of the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren since 1946.   She was a youth advisor and active in the Adult Choir as well as being involved in Lay Witness Missions in Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, England and Northern Ireland.
She was a volunteer at People to People Ministries and was involved in many Bible study groups.   Birdwatching and traveling  were favorite pastimes.
She is survived by a son, Jim (Becky), grandchildren, James (Kim), John (Sara), Steffan Horst and Lindsay Horst; great-grandchildren Avery and Thomas Horst and Claire Horst, and  a brother, John Albright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Robert V. Horst, Jr. and sister Doris Story.
Friends will be received in the Chapel at West View Healthy Living, 1715 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the East Chippewa Church Cemetery, 7207 Chippewa Rd., Orrville with the Revs. Kirk Fairhurst and Brad Kelley officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
