WOOSTER – Paul William TAYLOR, 88, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born May 22, 1921 in Coshocton Co., the son of Charles W. and Nina Mae Downs Taylor.
He had been a truck driver and in his retirement operated an Amish Taxi Service. He enjoyed buying and restoring old Ford tractors. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Surviving are his children Ray Taylor of Orrville, Dale E (Kathleen). Taylor of Wooster and Donald E. (Jennifer) Taylor both of Wooster; Grandchildren, Missy Lengacher and Abbigail Taylor; Great-Grandchildren Macie, Jayden and Lance Lengacher; Sisters, Emmajean Fath of Smithville, Helen Waldron of Orrville and Betty Green of Lake City, FL.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Mary Miller Taylor, Lavina Mast Taylor and Leta Weber Taylor, daughters Dorothy Taylor and Doris Wirth, a granddaughter Sharon L. Wirth, brothers Wilmer and Kenneth and sisters Agnes Wyler, Leona Thatcher, Mildred Fisler, Lucille Randles and Mary Longsdorf.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 12:30-2:00 P.M. with the funeral service immediately following with the Rev. Bill Eshelman officiatiing. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
