WOOSTER – Pauline V. Landes, 97, of Wooster passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Wayne Co. Care Center.

Pauline was born August 24, 1921 in Smithville, the daughter of Lloyd and Stella Fern Fetter Crites.  She married Charles W. Landes on August 2, 1942.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 1984.

She had been a proofreader for 8 years at Bell and Howell and had been a sales clerk at Freedlanders for 8 years.  She was a member of the Grace Brethren Church, the Women’s Missionary Council and the Housekeepers Club in Apple Creek.

Pauline is survived by her grandchildren, Charles Butcher of Apple Creek, April Wells of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Jennifer Wilkerson of Canton, Michigan and three great-grandchildren, Finneas, Lucas and Zoe.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Georgia Margene Butcher, a granddaughter, Teresa Butcher and siblings, Harold Crites and Evelyn Goodman.

Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 10 a.m. service on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  A private burial will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Wayne Co. Care Center and Life Care Hospice for all their care.
