WOOSTER – Peggy J. Steen, 82, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
She was born October 2, 1935 in Sallis, Mississippi, the daughter of Claude and Alice Estelle Stonestreet Hutchison.   She married Larry L. Steen on March 16, 1956.   He survives.
Peggy was a homemaker and had worked at the YMCA, Frito-Lay, Jean Frocks and had done babysitting.   She was a member of the First Church of God, the Triway Boosters Club and the Lakeview Center.   She enjoyed cooking, flowers and painting.
Surviving are her children, Barry (Deb) Steen, Becky (Dave) Wagner, Jill (Jim) Dilgard and Jodie Steen all of Wooster and Jason (Ariann) Steen of Burbank;, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Anna Mae Steen and Leota Hutchison and numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, a brother, Curtis Hutchison and sisters Norma Hutchison and Genelle Sparr.
There will be no calling hours.   Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Wooster Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brent Durham officiating.
