WOOSTER “ Peter Anthony Schlund, Jr., 78, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
He was born December 11, 1941 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of Peter A., Sr and Julia Srebela Schlund.   He married Rebecca Ridgely on September 1, 1965.   She survives.
Peter was a Maintenance Millwright for General Motors and was a member of the UAW for over 30 years.   He attended St. Peter ™s Catholic Church in Loudonville.   Peter enjoyed fishing, coin collecting and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Rebecca are his children Andy Schlund and Dan (Billie Jo) Schlund both of Wooster and Jeffrey (Michelle) Schlund of Barn Hill, Ohio; grandchildren, Kayla (Travis) Newhart, Paige (Grant) Carter and Bryse Schlund; great-grandchildren Clint Hyatt and Hazel Newhart; siblings Mary Simmons of Parma, Margie Thompson of Elyria and Frank Schlund of Valley City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Connie and Julie.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 11:00 a.m. service of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 23, 2020  at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev.Vincent Hawk officiating.   Private burial will be held at a later date.
