WOOSTER – R. Daniel Danny STILLWAGNER, 68, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Aultman Hospital in Canton.
He was born May 25, 1941 in Wooster, the son of Clarence and Anna Quillen Stillwagner. On May 7, 1960 he married Phyllis Pinkley. She died June 21, 2009.
He was the owner of Stillwagner Trucking for 6 years and previously had Stillwagner Excavating for 16 years and had worked for ODOT for 11 years. Dan was a member of the First Church of God. He had formerly owned and operated the Wagon Wheel Arena and was a member of the Knight’s Car Club of Orrville and Cruisers Car Club of Wooster. He was a member of the West Salem Masonic Lodge #398 F & Am and the Scottish Rite valley of Canton.
Surviving are his children, Michael Lee (Terri) Stillwagner and Toby Daniel (Julie) Stillwagner both of Wooster and a foster-daughter, Ellen (Rex) Casey of Milersburg, 4 grandchildren, Bree, Brandon, Zachary and Nathan; a brother, Carl Stillwagner of Omaha, NE and a sister, Thelma Tomassetti of Wooster.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 P.M. with a Masonic Memorial Service at 5:30 P.M.
Services will be held at Funeral Home on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ken Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Wooster.
Contributions may be made to the Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses..
