WOOSTER “ Ralph Dean Young, 88, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Danbury Woods in Wooster.
He was born May 14, 1931 in Holmes County, the son of Emmet and Delpha Mullet  Young.   He married Rita Marie Schwartz on June 24, 1951.   She preceded him in death in 1997.
He was the Valedictorian of his graduating Class at Holmesville High School and had been an Electrician for over 50 years and was co-owner of Wayne Electric.   He was a HAM Radio operator and enjoyed computers and electronics and tinkering with gadgets.   He was a member of the Elks Lodge.
He proudly served his country with the US Army.
Surviving are his children, Randy Dean Young of the Home, Roberta (Robert) Houghton of Ashland, Ronald Young of Wooster and Roger (Patricia) Young of Shreve; granddaughters, Emily Marie Young of Shreve and Brittnie Stutz of Wooster and a special friend, Freda Schneider of Wooster.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bernice Kiser, Andrew Young and Eileen Dye.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the Elk’s Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, at noon followed by a funeral service with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.   Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

Service
Elk’s Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, at noon followed by a funeral service with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.   Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
