WOOSTER “ Reuben L. Red Martin, 83, of Wooster passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born January 25, 1935 in Clarksville, Arkansas, the son of James C. and Cecelia Franks Martin.   He married Sandra Wohlford on July 18, 1983.   She survives.
He had been a welder for the Canton Local #94 for over 45 years.   Red attended the Akron Road Church of God.   He was a member of the Eagles, was an avid coon hunter in his early years, an avid bear hunter in his later years and he was an avid pool player.   Red enjoyed camping, walking and attending his grandchildren ™s sporting events.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
All who knew him will remember the twinkle in his eye and strength of his grip.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sandra, are his children, Rob (Kelly) Martin of Lakeville, Randy Martin of Shreve and Leona G. (Jeff Massoni) Lutsch of Lexington; step-children, Monty (Annette) Leaman of Wooster, Rhonda (Phil) Grainger of Hudson and Paulette (Jeff) Agnes of Wooster; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandddaughter; a brother Kenneth (Paralee) Martin of Wooster and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Clarence Martin, Raymond Martin, Doris Flener, Harry Martin, Daisy Coleman and Viola Mitchell.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating.   Burial will follow in the Reedsburg Cemetery.
