WOOSTER – Richard L FETTER, 83, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 26, 1926 in Orrville, the son of Lee and Pearl Ammon Fetter. He married Patricia A. Robison May 8, 1982. She survives.
Richard had worked 20 years in Dry Cleaning Sales and for 22 years was Secretary and Administrator of Wooster Moose Lodge retiring in 1992. He served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a life member of the Wooster Moose Lodge #1115, a life member of Amvets #6 of Massillon, a member of Wooster Eagles #811, member of VFW Post 3446 of Orrville for 45 years, a member of American Legion Post 0282 of Orrville for 40 years. Richard was affiliated with the First Church of God, Akron Rd. in Wooster.
Surviving are his children Denny Fetter of Wooster, Richard (Irene) Fetter of Pittsburgh, PA, Sandra (Danny) Pattin of Shreve and Debra (Tim) Seibert of Jeromesville, step-son, Gary (Sally) Hofstetter of Nashville;Grandchildren: Kristi and Todd Wise, Lisa Steel, Heidi Miller, Julie Pittman, Ryan and Todd Thompson, Cameron and Steven Fetter, Sarah and Kari Hofstetter, and April Brehob. 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Virginia Fay of Massillon.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Scott Fetter.
A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Kevan Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
