ORRVILLE “ Richard Paul Goad, 65, of Orrville passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1956 the son of Carlos D and Iris J. Edgell Goad.   He was a self-employed carpenter.   Richard enjoyed carpentry, home restoration, fishing, fixing vehicles, collecting coins discussing politics and spending time with his family.
He proudly served his country with the US Army from 1973-1976 with the 3rd Armored Division.
Surviving is his mother and step-father Iris and Reuben Stark of Wooster; his children Garret Goad of Orrville and Tori Jones of Wooster; siblings Terry (Delores) Goad and Brenda Custer of Apple Creek and Linda Goad and Dan (Maricel) Goad both of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.   Also survived by his canine companion Comet.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the Mt. Zion Church of God, 837 S. Geyers Chapel Rd., Wooster with Pastor Ben Crouch officiating.   Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
